Terms of Service

Last updated: October 2025

Acceptance

By using EXIT, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use EXIT.

What EXIT is

EXIT is a public ledger of digital exits. All records are public and permanent. By recording an exit, you agree to make that data publicly accessible.

Account requirements

  • • You must provide a valid email address
  • • You must not create multiple accounts to evade rate limits
  • • You must not impersonate others
  • • You must be at least 13 years old (or age required by your jurisdiction)

Acceptable use

You may not:

  • • Submit spam, automated, or fake exits
  • • Submit defamatory, illegal, or harmful content
  • • Attempt to circumvent rate limits or spam protections
  • • Scrape or abuse the service in ways that degrade performance
  • • Use EXIT for harassment or targeted abuse

Violations may result in account suspension or termination without notice.

Content and ownership

You retain ownership of the exits you record. However, by recording an exit, you grant EXIT a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to:

  • • Display your exits publicly
  • • Aggregate and analyze your exits for statistical purposes
  • • Include your exits in reports, datasets, and API responses

This license survives account deletion (exits remain in the ledger).

No warranties

EXIT is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uptime, accuracy, or fitness for any particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

EXIT and its operators are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to data loss, inaccuracies, or service interruptions.

Termination

You may delete your account at any time via Settings. We may terminate or suspend accounts that violate these terms without prior notice.

Data permanence

EXIT is a permanent ledger. Individual exits cannot be edited or deleted (only full account deletion). Sequential IDs are never reused. This is intentional.

Changes to terms

We may update these terms at any time. Changes will be posted here with an updated date. Continued use of EXIT constitutes acceptance of updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Disputes will be resolved in applicable federal or state courts.
