Privacy Policy

GETEXITS Inc. ("GETEXITS," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to handling your information with care. This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances we retain it. Some of that retention is permanent.

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide when creating an account or completing an exit. This includes your email address, payment details, and device information. We also collect limited technical information automatically, including browser type, IP address, and usage data.

For completed exits, we additionally collect and permanently store:

• A SHA-256 hash of your email address
• A payment method fingerprint, provided by Stripe
• A device fingerprint, generated at the time of exit
• Your exit timestamp and Exit ID

This data is collected for one purpose: to enforce the permanence of your exit by preventing re-registration.

How We Use Your Information

Information we collect is used for the following purposes:

• Providing and maintaining the Services
• Processing exits and issuing certificates of exit
• Sending retention communications to trial accounts
• Enforcing permanent exit bans
• Complying with applicable legal obligations

Retention Communications

Trial account holders receive retention communications at regular intervals after trial expiration. These communications continue until a paid exit is completed or you unsubscribe.

Unsubscribing stops email communications. It does not delete your account, remove your data, or constitute an exit.

Data Retention

For active trial accounts, we retain your email address and account data for as long as the account remains open, which is indefinitely unless a paid exit is completed.

For completed exits, we retain exit enforcement data — email hash, payment fingerprint, device fingerprint, exit timestamp, and Exit ID — indefinitely. This data cannot be deleted. Deletion requests for exit enforcement data will not be fulfilled, as doing so would compromise the integrity of your exit.

No other personal information is retained after a paid exit is completed.

Third-Party Processors

We work with the following third-party service providers in the operation of the Services:

• Stripe — payment processing and payment method fingerprinting
• Resend — retention communication delivery
• Supabase — account and exit record storage
• Fathom Analytics — privacy-preserving site analytics. No personal data is collected or shared.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your information with third parties except as necessary for the above processors to perform their services, or as required by law.

Your Rights and Requests

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access, correct, or request deletion of certain data.

Requests related to exit enforcement data — email hash, payment fingerprint, device fingerprint — cannot be fulfilled. This data exists solely to enforce the permanence of a completed exit. Its deletion would constitute a reversal of that exit, which is not permitted under our Terms of Service.

Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect your information from unauthorized access or disclosure. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Services after any changes indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
