What we collect
EXIT collects minimal data:
- • Your email address (for authentication only)
- • Exit records you create (platform names, reasons, replacements)
- • Timestamps of when exits are recorded
- • Optional display name (if you choose to add one)
What we do not collect
- • Browsing behavior or tracking cookies
- • Device fingerprints
- • IP addresses (beyond temporary session management)
- • Third-party analytics beyond privacy-focused Fathom (no personal data)
How we use your data
Your email is used exclusively for:
- • Sending magic link login emails
- • Nothing else
Your exit records are:
- • Published publicly on EXIT
- • Aggregated for statistical analysis
- • Licensed to researchers, analysts, and businesses (in aggregate, anonymized form)
Data sharing
We do not sell personal data. Ever.
We share:
- • Public exit records (by design—that's the product)
- • Aggregate, anonymized statistics via reports and API (future)
We do not share your email address with anyone.
Your rights
You can:
- • Delete your account at any time (Settings → Delete account)
- • View all your public exit records on your dashboard
You cannot:
- • Edit or delete individual exits (ledger is permanent by design)
Data retention
Exit records are retained permanently (unless you delete your entire account). Sequential IDs are never reused. This is a historical ledger.
Third-party services
EXIT uses:
- • Resend (email delivery for magic links)
- • Neon/Vercel (database hosting)
- • Vercel KV (rate limiting)
- • Fathom Analytics (privacy-focused, GDPR-compliant, no cookies)
- • Cloudflare Turnstile (spam protection, privacy-preserving)
None of these services receive unnecessary personal data.
Security
We use industry-standard security practices. Magic link authentication means no passwords to leak. Database access is restricted. All connections are encrypted (HTTPS).
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Changes will be posted here with an updated date. Continued use of EXIT means acceptance of the updated policy.
